We build digital products and run consumer brands in

ETG Media is an independent company with two sides. We design and build web and mobile applications for partner product teams, and we own and operate a small group of direct-to-consumer brands. Both run on the same team and to the same standards.

Two sides of the business

One team, split between work we do for partners and products we own outright.

Software studio

We design and build web and mobile applications for partner product teams — discovery and interface design, application engineering, release, and the maintenance that follows. Engagements are scoped project by project, and the same people carry a product from the first sketch through to the releases that come after launch.

  • Product design and research
  • Application engineering
  • Release and operations
  • Ongoing maintenance

Consumer brands

We also own and operate a small group of direct-to-consumer brands. That means the storefront and checkout, sourcing and fulfilment, customer support, and the marketing around them. Running our own products is how we keep the studio side honest about what actually works once something is live.

  • Storefront and checkout
  • Sourcing and fulfilment
  • Customer support
  • Brand and marketing

Sectors we work in

We stay in three consumer categories because each one takes time to learn properly.

Health & wellbeing

Lifestyle and wellbeing products: habit and activity tracking, guided programmes, scheduling, and the tools behind them. Everything is built as general wellbeing software. Diagnosis, treatment, and clinical claims are outside our scope, and any regulated functionality is defined and owned by the client's own qualified providers.

  • Tracking and journalling
  • Programme delivery
  • Booking and scheduling
  • Wellbeing commerce

Social & lifestyle

Community, messaging, and content products where people connect around a shared interest. Account safety, privacy controls, reporting tools, and moderation are treated as core requirements rather than later additions, and feature design follows the policies of every platform a product ships on.

  • Profiles and discovery
  • Messaging
  • Community moderation
  • Content feeds

Entertainment & media

Streaming, catalogue, ticketing, and interactive entertainment front-ends. Rights, licensing, and content ownership stay with the client; we build the delivery, playback, and subscription layer around what they are licensed to distribute.

  • Catalogue and search
  • Playback clients
  • Subscriptions and entitlements
  • Live and event flows

How a project runs

Five stages, each with something reviewable at the end of it.

Scope

Requirements, platforms, constraints, and what is deliberately out of scope.

Design

Flows and interfaces, prototyped and tested before anything is committed to.

Build

Iterative delivery against an agreed backlog, reviewed at a regular cadence.

Release

Submission, staged rollout, and the documentation a client's reviewers need.

Maintain

Monitoring, dependency and platform updates, and planned follow-on work.

How we handle policy and data

The categories we work in are reviewed closely. We build so that review is straightforward.

Privacy by design

Collection is scoped to what a feature needs to function. Retention, export, and deletion paths are specified before build rather than retrofitted afterwards.

Platform conformance

Releases are prepared against the current Apple App Store Review Guidelines and Google Play Developer Program Policies applicable to the product, including the disclosures each store requires. Our own storefronts follow the equivalent requirements of the commerce and payment platforms they run on.

Accessibility

Interfaces are built toward WCAG 2.2 AA. Keyboard operation, screen-reader support, and legible contrast are treated as requirements in the same way any other requirement is.

Consumer commerce

Our brands publish clear pricing, shipping, and returns terms alongside a contact route that reaches a person, and take payment through established providers. Customer data from those brands is kept separate from partner project work.

Regulated and sensitive areas

Where a product touches health information, payments, or personal data, the appropriate handling is agreed with the client and their legal counsel before implementation. ETG Media provides design, engineering, and commerce operations; it does not provide legal, medical, or financial advice.

Third-party review

Dependencies, payment providers, and analytics are documented per project so a client's own reviewers, auditors, or partners can assess them without reading the source.

The company

Small, senior team. The people who design a product stay on it.

Vincent Pereira, founder of ETG Media
Vincent Pereira — founder

ETG Media is led by Vincent Pereira, an engineer by training who has spent his career building software and consumer products. The company was set up to do both sides of that work directly: building applications for partner teams, and running its own brands rather than only advising on other people's.

We keep the team small on purpose. Every engagement is staffed with people who have shipped in the category it belongs to, and they stay on the product through release and into maintenance, so what gets learned during a project does not leave when the first version goes live.
